J.W. Pollock Shield – Final Result

In a thrilling, seesawing final, Josh Greenaway and Nic Lagesse edged out Stephen Coutts and Paul Bacci in a match that lived up to the occasion. With the contest heading into extra holes, Josh sank a clutch uphill 3-metre birdie putt on the 18th to keep their hopes alive.
The drama peaked on the 19th, where Josh sealed victory with an extraordinary 15-metre birdie putt from the front of the 1st green—sending the large gallery of spectators into raptures.
Credit to Steve and Paul, who were outstanding throughout and most gracious in defeat. It was a fitting finale to this year’s Pollack Shield.

The final round of the JW Pollock Shield will be held this Saturday at 11:54am, featuring two strong teams battling it out for the title.
